Really nice restaurant with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. We stayed at the Beaumont Estate for a week and had dinner at the 1705 Restaurant multiple times after a long day of activities. We cannot think of much that can be improved to the food. From the starters we had the cauliflower & scallops, broccoli & stilton soup, crab arancini and parma ham & fig crostinis. From the main we had the roasted lamb with couscous, pork belly with mash, gnocci, risotto and baked cod. Everything tasted delicious. From a nutritional point of view there is a bit of lack of vegetables in the main dishes, but side veggies such as broccoli, asparagus and french beans can be ordered. All very good. The restaurant also serves burgers and pizzas that seem to be popular with families with young children. We did not try any of these and would certainly recommend their more sophisticated dishes anyway. We also did not try any desserts. A minor point for improvement: The staff could be a bit more engaging with the customers as almost all guest are probably visiting the surrounding attractions throughout the day. This is an easy opportunity to connect with them. We are very happy customers and would certainly eat here again when in the area.

Beautiful restaurant with fabulous service. Jess and Oksana are ready assets to the team. Jess definitely has potential to be a manager in her career, very friendly, professional and forward thinking. Had 2 delicious 3 course dinners and 2 fantastic breakfasts. Too nice in fact, they made my clothes shrink ;) thank you all!

Nice, helpful staff. Good atmosphere and good food, reasonably priced - only slightly more expensive than a standard pub dinner. Portions descriptively large due to huge plates. If we lived nearby we’d be here all the time.

I only had a drink In here so couldn't do.ent on the food. The bar was very nicely decorated, it had a separate area for dining it in my opinion, should have had a separate area for adults only as being in a hotel, there was a lot of kids in there, this isn't me being pompous as i was one of the people who had a child with them, just think the people who don't have kids staying with them should have a nice area to relax in without screaming kids. Prices were reasonable for a hotel bar and service was fast and polite.
